Hi! I am new here and would like to introduce myself. The names Sarah but I like Samantha better. Ok, here is the issue. I am a performer. I rap, sing, and dance. In May I moved here to Mexico to be with my man because he was deported. Problem is, he is not very fond of the idea of my going back to the US for any reason. Next month I am going back for a month to record my music, and book some performances. Within the last month and a half I have had about 4-5 dreams of being scared to return to the US. In those dreams, I am scared of losing my partner and home. Of course, I am w/ my mom when I'm in the states. I just turned 19 and want nothing more than to be a professional, successful performer. Its been my dream since 9 years old. My man always seemed supportive, but now that its actually going to happen, he doesn't even like talking about it. He believes that when I leave, I won't come back, even though I've assured him I will. I am in Mexico and can't talk to anyone so please help! What do my dreams mean?

I think your sleep dreams are reflecting the way you really feel in you waking life. There is some uncertainty about what your future will hold, but you can only do the best you can and go for it, otherwise in 10 years time you will be wondering what would have happened.
Your boyfriend is expressing how he feels which is great he does that. He doesn’t want to lose you, but it’s important that he doesn’t hold you back either.
On your journey you will meet some amazing people who will help you with your career and these connections will build on themselves. Be dedicated to your dream, work hard and it will pay off. Remember, you don’t have to be a superstar to be successful. Find your niche and you will make a living doing what you feel happiest doing.
Traveling is part of being a performer. There is only so much you can do in your own home town where you live. You need to get your name out there, travel to different locations, support other acts or host your own shows. And then keep visiting.
Learn some business skills and marketing/promotion as you will need this. Build your own audience follow as you can’t always rely on a record label to sign you. Keep communicating with them. You are a brand that you need to build.
You will need some help along the way. Get reliable people to help you such as updating a website, designing posters, etc. You will experience some initial success due to the energy that you are putting into your dream. There will also be a natural dip where you think you are not getting anywhere even though you are putting in the effort. Don’t give up, keep going, you will get there. It takes time. Allow yourself 5-10 years to make your dream happen.
